Akaroa House is offered as a luxury holiday house. Private accommodation with five individually decorated bedrooms and four bathrooms. An ideal vacation rental to share with family or friends.
The large living, extensive kitchen and extendable dining table are great for at home entertaining. Outside are two paved dining areas with barbeque. Fabulous sea and hillside views from every room, verandah or patio. Akaroa House enjoys a great sun aspect.
Renovated heritage & modern convenience
Gorgeous heritage 1884 features, fully renovated 2004 - complete with en-suites, under tile heating and air-conditioning, and running hot and cold water : ) Free wi-fi (for checking emails, and surfing the net). Parking is right outside on the wide quiet street.
Luxury historic house
The living areas are downstairs along with two bedrooms - enjoy the large King room with gorgeous French tub en-suite – soak in the views of the surrounding gardens and hills. Also a small twin bedroom with a fully tiled shower bathroom across the hallway.
Upstairs another en-suited king bedroom, and a twin and a triple room (these beds can be made into “kings” with advance notice). The fourth family bathroom with shower over the bath.
Ready for you to enjoy and relax on arrival the home is supplied with full linen and some toiletries. Our fabulous caretakers, Sharon and Teena will clean on departure. Please advise if you require additional servicing, and I can check on their availability for you.
Plenty of bedrooms, a well equipped modern kitchen and large living areas. Even on vacation, there's still the holiday washing to attend to! The house laundry has a large sink, washing machine, tumble dryer and ironing board, along with a large rotary washing line outside. Starters of laundry detergent are provided.
For little visitors - we have one porta-cot and one high chair available. Enquire if others required.
A house for all seasons
Akaroa House is heated by a log burner in the lounge, seven heat-pumps throughout , underfloor heating under the tile areas and a gas flame fire in the Master bedroom. In summer the French doors under the shady verandahs can be opened for cooling with sea-breezes, or there are the seven air-conditioning units.
